The museum in the Baroque pilgrimage site of the Basilica of the Visitation of Virgin Mary on the Holy Hill, which is located within the Holy Steps building, illustrates the three hundred years of history of this leading Moravian pilgrimage site, whose importance was underlined by a visit of the first Slavic Pope, St John Paul II, in 1995.

For organised groups, the town of Šumperk offers a guided walking tour. The tour must be ordered 14 days in advance at the Šumperk Information Centre. In July and August, guided tours are available on specific dates listed on the website of the information centre. A reservation is required.

The first mention of the Poštovní štola mine dates to 1513. The greatest boom in mining activity occurred in the second half of the 17^th century, when nickel-bearing copper ore was extracted here. The water fortress in Jeseník, the oldest surviving historical monument in the town, is home to the Museum of the History of the Jeseníky Region. In its current form, the History and Archeology of Jesenice represents the oldest permanent exhibition in the Water Fortress in Jeseník. A total of three rooms await visitors. The first of them presents the results of research and archaeological research from prehistory to the 19th century. The second room introduces visitors to the fact that the Jesenice region did not only go through periods of prosperity and an undisturbed cycle of life, but numerous wars and disasters are also connected with its history. The third and last room shows the famous musical and spa past of the region, associated with the names of the composer Karel Ditters of Dittersdorf or the founders of hydrotherapy Vincenz Priessnitz and Johann Schroth.

An exhibition dedicated to the founder of hydrotherapy, Vincenz Priessnitz, established in 1999 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of his birth. The exhibition is installed on the site of Priessnitz‘ s family home, which he had built for medical purposes in 1822, thus creating the world‘s first hydrotherapy institute.

The complex of Haná vernacular architecture presents the way of life and farming in this part of Moravia over the last two centuries. The exhibition on the settlement of the Vidnava region is located in the oldest preserved burgher house and was opened in 2002. This exhibition offers a comprehensive overview of the production of original ceramics featuring characteristic nodules "Loštice beakers", made only in Loštice and its vicinity in the 14–16th centuries and famous throughout Central Europe.

The memorial with its historical exhibit is a dignified reminder of the Third Resistance and the internment of the monks who were forcibly deported by the Communist regime to the Monastery on the Mountain of the Mother of God in Králíky – Dolní Hedeč in 1950–1961 as part of ACTION “K”.

The old manor forge at Holajka stood next to the chateau as early as the 16th century. It is named after the Zeman family, who owned the forge for decades. Although the building serves as a museum today, the original equipment is still functional.

Replicas of medieval mining mills. The crushing of gold ore is demonstrated in two mills. Both of these wooden machines made according to contemporary drawings are driven by water wheels that draw their energy from the original canal. The tour includes panning for gold.

We have the largest collection of axes in the Czech Republic (listed in the Guinness Book of Records). In front of the château you will see the largest carpenter's axe in the Czech Republic. The chateau boasts splendid interiors and a unique collection of Meissen china. Visitors of the chateau can admire two fully equipped carriages of the Olomouc archbishops.

The late Art Nouveau building of the Museum of Modern Art in the historic city centre was adapted for museum purposes in the early 1990s. The renovation created halls for exhibitions of 20^th and 21^st century art as well as a study room and observation tower. The café and summer terrace are currently closed for renovation.

The Brewery Museum in Hanušovice maps the local history of brewing from 1874 up to the present day. Here you will find cooper's tools, barrels, labels, glasses, bottles, beer crates, but you will also visit a historic inn with a landlord. A brewery restaurant is located on the ground floor of the building.

The museum presents the history of one of the most successful manufacturers of lighting glass. You will see products of various shapes of blown lighting glass and machine-made, bent and tempered glass. Visitors are drawn into the glassmaking story by an audio guide featuring characters from the history of the glassworks.

Each season of the year in the palm, cactus, tropical, and sub-tropical conservatories brings blossoms and fruits to dozens of the most exotic flora species. The conservatories are open to the public nearly the whole year, with the exception of the winter months. The extraordinary fl ora is complemented with exotic fauna – fish, spiders, amphibians and caiman.

The Exhibition of Time in Šternberk is a modern museum with 250 items from around the world. It presents the theme of "time" in terms of the universe, technology, art and society. The exhibition on the poet Petr Bezruč introduces the life and work of this artist through ten text panels and his personal items. It is located in two ground fl oor rooms of the Red House in Kostelec na Hané, where Bezruč lived and worked for years. Come and visit the last refuge of the “old lizard”.

The first archdiocesan museum in the Czech Republic displays a selection of artistic and spiritual wealth created in Moravia during the past millennium. The cellars of the Geschader House hold the Witch Trials exhibit equipped with a modern audio guide. The exhibition describes the infamous witch trials from the second half of the 17th century. During the off-season, we only accept reservations for larger groups, which must be made at least 14 days in advance.

The objective of disc golf is to throw a disc from the given tee (starting point) into the hole (basket). The course is the Vincenz Priessnitz Park with many natural obstacles. Each hole is accompanied by a question about our spa. For their answers, children receive a gift at the Spa Information Centre, where you can also borrow the discs.

The Outdoor Game Park offers a pleasant time with family and friends playing popular social games. In the various sections of the park, you can play adventure golf, Russian skittles, table tennis, Parcheesi, chess and pétanque.

The national nature preserve Rejvíz is situated in the north-east part of the Jeseníky Mountains, between the towns of Jeseník and Zlaté Hory. The Hranice Abyss Information Centre offers visitors information on the unique Hranice Abyss, the deepest flooded pit cave in the world, with a depth of 450 metres. The interactive model allows people to see the Hranice Karst, which includes spas and caves. Thanks to 3D glasses, they can enter the mouth of the abyss.

Located to the southeast of the historic centre of the city, the Botanical Gardens and Rose Garden are bordered by the Bezruč Gardens and a branch of the Morava River. The bobsleigh track is located at the foot of Štvanice Hill in the Stříbrnice Valley. There are two 360° turns and an original tunnel under the cable car at the end. The track is fully visible, which means that parents can keep an eye on their children throughout the ride from the refreshment area with facilities.

The only track bobsled run in Moravia. With a total length of 1,536 metres, it is also the longest bobsled run in Moravia. You do not just go on an easy ride, you actually steer the bobsled. There is no other such place in Moravia any more. The length of the downhill run itself is 1,030 metres. The track includes a bridge, a tunnel, and more.

In the Baroque building of the museum, you will fi nd an exposition of the history of Zlaté Hory and mining, collections of minerals and ores and an example of a traditional 19th century room. In the cellar of the building you can see curiosities related to witch trials.

The pillbox is an important part of the fortification line in the Králíky region. It is also a commemorative site of the tragic death of Sergeant A. Hrad. The oldest museum in the world focused on the life and work of J. A. Comenius is situated in a Renaissance château in the historical centre of Přerov. The new Museum of Olomoucke tvaruzky, ceremonially opened on 26 June 2014, provides wheelchair access. Individual tours are an option tailored to the visitors’ interest and time possibilities. The Museum presents a historical overview of this cheese since its very beginnings up to the present day in its modern expositions. The tour lasts about an hour.

The museum houses an armoury with a collection of historical weapons, a schoolroom from the mid-20th century, a replica of a farmhouse living space, the original local pharmacy with period equipment, an exhibition of embroidered chasubles and the local history of the use of coal gas. The existence of the court is recalled by the exhibition of a gendarmerie station and detention cells.

Drama, ballet, opera and operetta – the only theatre in the Olomouc Region with three artistic ensembles. Visit exhibitions in Hranice. Attractive exhibitions for children and adults can be seen at the Old Town Hall, which also features the Gothic Hall. The Museum in the château offers an exhibit featuring a model of the historical town centre and an exhibit of historical weapons.

A museum of the history of stonemasonry in the Žulová region where you can see tools and equipment such as a model saw for cutting quarried stone and products made from local rocks (granite and marble) – troughs, crosses and tombstones. In the mineralogical section, you will find minerals classified according to the Strunz system, from elements to silicates, and unique mineralogical specimens from all over the world.

The Prostějov Observatory, the only public observatory in the Olomouc Region, is located in the middle of the Kolář Park in the western part of the city. It offers daytime and nighttime observations with telescopes, regular lectures, educational programmes for schools, and more.

The Na Špičaku Cave are one of the oldest documented caves in Central Europe (half of the 15th century). Visitors will enjoy the unique heart-shaped profi le of the corridors, the numerous historical inscriptions dating back to the 16th-19th centuries, and the Renaissance painting of the Adoration of the Cross. Entrance to the caves is barrier-free.

An important archaeological and paleontological site. The caves are composed of a labyrinth of corridors and cathedrals with stalagmite and stalactite formations. Bones of extinct vertebrates and numerous human skeletons from the Early Stone Age have been found at the site.

The caves are unique on a European scale and feature carbon dioxide “lakes.” These were created in part by underground thermal water. Remarkable formations are composed of the mineral aragonite, and the site also features raft stalagmites and walls with spherical incrustations known as doughnuts.

The Na Pomezí Cave is one of the most visited locations in the Jeseníky region. The caves are the largest system in the Czech Republic and were created in crystallized limestone – marble. The extensive complex consists of fissure passages and high domes with rich and interesting dripstone formations and sinter pools with cave pearls.

A nearly one kilometre-long labyrinth of publicly accessible corridors and cathedrals featuring the richest and most massive stalagmite and stalactite formations – from eccentric formations, translucent stone curtains, large sinter cascades, to tall pagoda stalagmites.
